Four RBI Day For Madison Rainwater Leads Laurence Manning Academy Swampcats Past Orangeburg Prep

Madison Rainwater was bad news for opposing pitchers on Tuesday, driving in four on three hits to lead Laurence Manning varsity softball past Orangeburg Prep 16-5 on Tuesday. Rainwater drove in runs on a single in the third and a single in the sixth. The Swampcats got things started in the first inning. Maddison Truitdrove in one when she singled. The Swampcats scored seven runs in the sixth inning. The big bats were led by Liz Hussey, RandiLynn Holcombe, Rainwater, Brooke Reed, Trinity Harrington, and Truit, who all drove in runs. Harrington was the winning pitcher for Laurence Manning. She allowed four hits and five runs over four innings, striking out three. Hussey threw two innings in relief out of the bullpen. Hussey recorded the last six outs to earn the save for Laurence Manning Academy Swampcats. Alyssa Bukszar took the loss for Orangeburg Prep. She surrendered 16 runs on 12 hits over six innings, striking out three. LMA totaled 12 hits. Rainwater, Reed, and Truit each managed multiple hits. Rainwater went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead the Swampcats in hits. Jojo Wolfe led Orangeburg Prep with two hits in four at bats.
