Rock Hill’s India Hook Elementary School’s staff re-routed the morning traffic so that bus riders, walkers, and car riders could walk together from the nearby neighborhood in their Pirate Parade. The Rock Hill Police Department directed traffic, while parents and staff volunteered to supervise the event. Some students said they want to do it everyday.
The Eagles of Scott’s Branch took on the Eagles of Military Magnet Tuesday night in the first round of the State Playoff. The boys of Scott’s Branch played a great game of team basketball. Leading the Eagles in scoring was Joakeem Stevens with 22 points and six steals. Randy Gibson scored 15 points with two assist. Deashone Dingle dropped 12 points, and Zakee Rendell scored six points. The whole team played a major role in moving on to the second round Friday night facing Hemingway High School.
