One of three suspects being sought by the Clarendon County Sheriff's Office for his role in the alleged kidnapping and invasion of a Bloomville home in early June has been caught. Rafael Maderos of 2357 Toney Bay Road in Holly Hill was denied bond on multiple charges, including four counts of kidnapping, one count of first-degree burglary, one count of possession of a weapon during a violent crime, two counts of discharging a firearm into a dwelling, and three counts of pointing and presenting a firearm at a person. Maderos is the fourth suspect to be charged for his role in the incident, which happened when six suspects entered a home on Bloomville Road in early June, forcing their way through the back door in an attempt to find a subject known as "Briscoe." One of the six included a Hispanic male known only at the time as "Pony Tail," who took an assault rifle and fired it into the floor while threatening the victims, which included a 4-year-old child, a 17-year-old and a couple in their 60s. Suspects took all cell phones and house phones and placed them in a sink full of water so the victims could not notify law enforcement, and the victims were held against their will. The other three charged included Jazzmin Toni-Bush Carter, 19, of 1435 Jeff Drive in Manning; Jamari Asir Canty, 18, of 1242 Goodwill Church Road in Manning; and Hervon Shy Heim Grayson, 18, of 2920 Poole Road in Sumter. All have been charged with one count each of first-degree burglary and four counts each of kidnapping, according to the Clarendon County Public Court Index and the Clarendon County Sheriff's Office. Baxley said his office is still seeking Lorenzo Trujillo Maderos, Rafael Maderos's brother. Lorenzo Trujillo Maderos has been identified as the man named "Pony Tail." He is believed to be armed and dangerous, though Baxley said he may have left the area. His last known address was in the Holly Hill area. He has 10 outstanding warrants for first-degree burglary, four counts of kidnapping, three counts of pointing and presenting a firearm; and one count each of possession of a weapon during a violent crime and shooting into an occupied dwelling. One other suspect said to be of Hispanic descent and from the beach area is also being sought. Anyone with information regarding this incident or these suspects is asked to call the Sheriff’s Office at (803) 435-4414. Callers may remain anonymous.
