Scott's Branch High School graduate Joaquin Brown has been named the principal of St. Paul Elementary School, according to a release from Clarendon School District 1. Brown previously served as assistant principal in the Fairfield County School District. He has experience at the elementary and secondary levels, and "has implemented several successful programs and initiatives throughout his administrative tenure that proved to be beneficial to students," the release states.
Brown assured Clarendon School District 1 board members that he is ready for the challenge, asking them where they'd like to see the school in the next two to three years. He also said he was excited about returning home.
