An Alcolu woman told deputies with the Clarendon County Sheriff's Office about 11:21 a.m. June 2 that a man called her earlier that day and said she'd won a car and that they would deliver it to her home, and that she would need to give them $1,000 as a processing fee. Deputies with the Clarendon County Sheriff's Office reported that the alleged victim gave the suspect $1,000, although it does not say if she gave him a credit card or cash. Deputies advised the woman that no vehicle would be delivered to her and that she was the victim of a scam.
