S.C. Highway Patrol Lt. B.K. Floyd Jr., a Turbeville resident, completed the Federal Bureau of Investigation National Academy program March 17 in Quantico, Virginia. It is a 10-week training program for police executives from all over the world, and encompasses a rigorous academic and physical fitness program. Floyd is now "a member of an elite law enforcement fraternity nationwide," according to the program. Only 1 percent of law enforcement officers are selected for the program.
