A 27-year-old Manning man was charged about 1:07 p.m. Jan. 5 with possession of crack cocaine and disorderly conduct after the Manning Police Department responded to a home on Calhoun Drive after a resident said she did not want the suspect in her home. According to reports, the woman said that Michael Montreal White, 27, of 115 Calhoun St. in Manning, was in her attic and she didn’t want him there. Police let the alleged suspect know he had to leave the home, and he began using profanity toward the woman and police. Police conducted a search of the alleged suspect and located a piece of a paper towel folded up in his left top shirt pocket that contained alleged crack cocaine.
