Power remains out for more than 583 homes in Paxville and surrounding areas up U.S. 15 South into Sumter County after a wreck 6:30 p.m. Monday in which a tractor trailer hit a power pole and overturned.
No one was seriously injured in the wreck, although the tractor-trailer driver was initially entrapped.
No cause for the wreck has yet been given by authorities.
Duke Energy estimates that power will be back on by 2:45 a.m. for most customer.
