State Parks holding food drive

Workers at South Carolina's state parks want people to know there is no vacation from hunger. That's why the parks are holding a food drive this weekend. There are trucks at all 47 state parks on Saturday and parks officials are hoping visitors will fill them up with canned goods and other non-perishable food. Everything that is collected will be donated to local food banks. The event, dubbed "Pack A Park Truck," is part of a five-month campaign to raise food for the needy. The "Hunger Takes No Vacation" food drive being held with the South Carolina Food Bank Association ends after Thanksgiving.
