Holly Garneau's third-grade class at Manning Primary School contributes each year to Camp Happy Days through a service-learning project, raising funds to help with the camp that provides a unique experience to children with cancer and their siblings. The camp was held recently at Camp Bob Cooper in Summerton. Garneau's class presented a $1,154 contribution to the camp this year through Bill Ellis, a volunteer with the camp, joined by Manning Primary School Principal Otis Reed. The students went around and educated folks in the community about the camp, and asked for a $1 donation from each person thereafter.
