LAKE CITY - Thomas "Tommy" Purvis, 58, died Tuesday, July 5, 2016, at Lake City Community Hospital, after an illness.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 7, 2016, at Great Commission Ministries, with burial in McClam Cemetery, directed by Floyd Funeral Home of Olanta.
Born in Clarendon County, he was a son of the late Fred Thomas Purvis Sr. and Barbara Ann Floyd Purvis. He was a member of Great Commission Ministries and served as a board member for the church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Denise Purvis.
Survivors include three sisters, Cathy P. Floyd (Bill) and Teresa Purvis, both of Lake City, and Gwen Powell (Mike) of Kingstree.
