SBHS Eagles finish second in state championship track meet

The Scott’s Branch High School boys’ track team finished second overall in the Class A State Championship Meet held May 14 at Spring Valley High School in Columbia. Overall, the boys had a team score of 61 points. Chauncey Aiken finished fourth in the triple jump and fifth in the long jump. Keondre Tappin finished third in the 800-meter run. King Ford finished sixth in the 800-meter run. Vaquan Wilder finished fifth in the pole vault. Joshua Pringle finished third in discus. Malique Coard finished first in shot up. Marquis Thomas finished fifth in shot put. The boys’ 4-by-400-meter relay team finished first; the 4-by-800-meter relay team finished third; and the 4-by-100-meter relay team finished sixth.

    Congratulations Eagles Track Team!! I was honored last Saturday to be able to witness such outstanding performances by you guys at Spring Valley High School.
