Manning resident Jamie Williams has joined the genetic sales and technical group for Genesus, a world-leader in the science of the genetics of hog cultivation. Williams will be responsible for the southeast region for the company. He joins Genesus from a previous position as sales representative on the East Coast with Merck/Harris vaccines. He has also served as overall production manager of Bethany Swine Management in Illinois, which has a Genesus multiplier for their 26,000 sow system. He also had senior production responsibilities with Prestige Farms, Professional Swine Management and Orangeburg Foods. "After years of working with numerous types of genetics, Genesus sows are by far the easiest to manage," Williams said in a press release. "They produce the highest total born of even quality piglets that grow faster than any pigs I've ever seen."
