Clarendon Hall defeated Andrew Jackson Academy in varsity baseball 13-9 on Monday night in Summerton. Starting pitcher Hilton Layton got the win for the Saints and Gavin Allan got the save, pitching the final two innings, facing the minimum six batters with four strikeouts.
On offense, the Saints were led by Matthew Corbett, who went 2-2 with a triple and three RBI and Lance Browder who went 3-4 with a double and two RBI. Kameron Earles went 2-3 with two RBI and Thomas Stukes went 2-4 with a double and a RBI. The Saints totaled 12 hits for the game.
Clarendon Hall plays Jefferson Davis in a region game at 6 p.m. Tuesday.
