Letter: Chamber Board issues message during time of transition

Posted
We would like to take this opportunity to thank Christina Darby and Jessica Nunnary for their time with the Clarendon County Chamber of Commerce. They have done an excellent job and have left the Chamber in GREAT shape moving forward. So what does moving forward mean? Well, all eyes are on our Striped Bass Festival coming up on April 22- 23. We are working hard to try and produce a top-notch event for our community as well as our members. We are in the process of trying to identify the next Director, so if you know anyone please have them turn in a resume to the Chamber as soon as possible (we are hoping to have someone identified and in place before the festival). We are also back in the Chamber of Commerce after some renovations. We will have temporary staffing hours from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday, so please be patient with us as we will be using a host of volunteers throughout the community! Our mobile app is also now available for download at the Apple App Store as well as the Android store. It's under Clarendon County Chamber of Commerce, and is a really neat way to stay informed of what's happening around our community. Our newly redone website also has a community Google calendar that we can list all events throughout the community, so if you have something you want added to the calendar, please let us know! Don't forget to get your Striped Bass Festival T-shirts. They are located at the Chamber, the Bank of Clarendon and the Cypress Center. Shirts are $15 for kids' sizes and $20 for adults. We have ordered more children's sizes and they should be here next week! Thanks again for your support! CLARENDON COUNTY CHAMBER OF COMMERCE BOARD OF DIRECTORS Pro Prothro, President
