SUMMERTON - Joseph Leslie Carter, 43, died Saturday, April 18, 2015, at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston.
Born Jan. 3, 1972 in Summerton, he was a son of King Nelson and Amanda Carter Conyers and the stepson of Jonathan Conyers. He was raised by his maternal grandparents, Deacon John and Deaconess Esther Mae Riley Carter.
Funeral services for Joseph Leslie Carter will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, April 25, 2015, at Taw Caw Missionary Baptist Church, 1130 Granby Lane in Summerton, with the Rev. Dr. W.T. Johnson, pastor, officiating. Elder Willie Starks, Minister Tevin Riley and Pastor Edmond Riggins will assist. Burial will follow in the churchyard cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the home of his mother, 3 J St. in Summerton.
Services have been entrusted to Samuels Funeral Home LLC of Manning.
