Coroner releases name of Thursday wreck victim

The Clarendon County Coroner's Office has identified a 23-year-old woman who died late Thursday night in a vehicle wreck off Interstate 95. Deputy Coroner Charles Jackson said Sarah Jean Tatum, 23, and her identical twin sister could not be told apart initially, and that the girls' father had to come from North Carolina to identify them. The twin sister was transported from the wreck scene to the Medical University of South Carolina hospital in Charleston. According to reports, the deceased, the driver of a 2003 Toyota Sedan, allegedly disregarded a stop sign while exiting the Interstate and struck a 1992 Ford pickup truck that was driving north on Paxville Highway. The 23-year-old North Carolina woman died at the scene. Her twin was transported to MUSC, while the pickup’s driver was transported to Clarendon Memorial Hospital.
