The Williamsburg County Sheriff’s Office arrested a Turbeville man Friday for the alleged forcible rape of a mentally challenged woman.
The Kingstree News reports that Ollie Mack Mims Jr. was charged with forcible rape, citing an incident report from the Sheriff’s Office, which stated that the victim told law enforcement Feb. 15 that she had sexual activity with Mims on “several occasions.” Reports indicate the woman has a mental problem and is unable to consent for herself.
According to the Williamsburg County Detention Center, Mims remains at the jail.
