FFA, Radio Shack join forces for Families Helping Families

Posted
By TAYLOR FALLS The Manning High School FFA participated once again in 2014 in WIS-TV’s Families Helping Families Palmetto Project, partnering with Radio Shack of Manning. The FFA and Radio Shack helped 15 families during the Christmas holidays through the project. In the past 22 years, more than 39,000 South Carolina families have been helped through the statewide effort. Families Helping Families provides a business-like approach to organizing holiday giving for the most needy families in the state. By coordinating with local agencies and community assistance programs, those assisting in the program can ensure that donations and charitable giving are targeted to those who need help the most. Families Helping Families needs your help to make holiday wishes come true for those who are in need each year. FHF is the largest holiday help program for families in crisis living in Richland, Lexington, Newberry and Fairfield counties. MHS FFA takes advantage of this opportunity of service by working at the WIS phone bank and the Families Helping Families warehouse. The FFA would like to thank every person who has contributed to making this activity a success and a special thanks to Radio Shack of Manning for going beyond the call of duty to support this cause on a more local level.
