The Clarendon County Sheriff's Office reported Wednesday the break-in of a liquor store in the 2100 block of Sumter Highway in Manning between 11:18 a.m. Nov. 9 and 12:10 a.m. Nov. 10. According to reports, two deputies reported to the store after an alarm notified dispatchers to a possible break-in.

The deputies reported that a part of a metal covering on the rear of the building was cut and pulled back. While securing the premises, deputies noticed that the door to the kitchen area inside had been kicked open.

A footprint was on the door near the doorknob. A second door to a storage area had also been forced open. The owner told deputies he did not believe anything had been stolen.
