Madison Ard, 14, right, a freshman at Manning High School, is one of six students to win lunch with Manning Police Chief Blair Shaffer by entering a drawing at Trick-or-Treat on Main Street. She brought her best friend, Katelyn Beasley, also 14 and a freshman at Manning High School. Madison said she wants to be a dental hygienist and Katelyn said she wants to be a neo-natal nurse. Shaffer has picked the names of the other kids and notified them, and manninglive.com will be posting those kids as he meets with them. Shaffer said the kids may ask him about law enforcement during the meetings, or even just chat about their home lives. He said he wants youth to know they can trust in and rely on law enforcement officers.
