One of the largest operators of rural lifestyle retail stores in the United States will soon call the Manning area home.
Tractor Supply Company finalized a 15-year lease Oct. 16, according to the Clarendon County Register of Deeds, for the lot next to the old Walmart building in Manning.
"Tractor Supply Company is excited about being a new member of the Manning business community," said Catherine Davidson with Tractor Supply Company Media Relations. "The soft opening is tentatively set for late March."
Davidson said Manning was a good fit for the company "due to the part-time and hobby farmers and horse owners in the area."
"The TSC product category expertise includes lawn and garden, and animal care products that service the needs of these customers," Davidson said. "Tractor Supply stores typically employ 12 to 17 full and part-time team members."
