Bond denied for man accused of making meth

A Manning man arrested Wednesday who allegedly admitted to Manning police that he had been making and smoking methamphetamine was denied bond Thursday morning at the Clarendon County Detention Center. James E. King, 50, of 427 LeGrande St. in Manning, was charged with manufacturing methamphetamine; possession of methamphetamine; exposing a child to methamphetamine; manufacturing methamphetamine within a half-mile of a park; disposal of waste from the production of methamphetamine; and assault and battery.
