A Sumter man accused of reckless homicide by a boat and failure to render aid for his alleged role in the death of a Sumter woman on Lake Marion was granted a $40,000 surety bond today by Chief Magistrate Judge Percy Harvin.
Chad Morris is being represented by Shaun Kent. He is accused of striking a boat carrying Hailey Joanne Bordeaux in the early morning hours of July 4 on Lake Marion. He turned himself in to authorities earlier today.
