Jessica Summerlin and her 3-year-old daughter, Abby, donated their hair on Friday to Locks of Love, assisted by Dawn Strickland, owner of New Dawn Salon in Manning. Summerlin said they donated the hair in memory of her father-in-law, Pete Summerlin, who died in 2012 from lung cancer when his granddaughter had just begun to crawl.
