The Clarendon County All-Stars boys team advanced Tuesday to the 9- to 10-year-olds Dixie Boys All-Star Tournament Championship Game, defeating Sumter National All-Stars 13-12. Blaine Kennard got the win on the mound by pitching four innings of six-hit baseball.
Mickey Jordan earned the save by pitching the final inning in relief of Kennard.
Offensively, Clarendon County was lead by several players that recorded hits. Mickey Jordan and Jon McIntosh recorded 3 hits on the night while Clayton Lee, Josh Kennard, Blaine Kennard, Austin Geddings, Joe Wilson and Cantey Gardner recorded 2 hits.
Clarendon County plays at 6 p.m. today against Sumter American All-Stars for the District IV Championship.
