OLANTA - Ivory Thomas Steadman Stukes, 81, widow of Rhuie Stukes, died Thursday, June 19, 2014, at Carolina Hospital System in Florence.

Born Sept. 6, 1932, in the Shiloh community of Sumter County, "IV," as she was known, was a daughter of the late John Dickey and Carrie Epps Thomas, and step-daughter of Carey Thomas.

Celebratory services for Ivory Thomas Steadman Stukes will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 24, 2014, at AFC Restoration and Deliverance Family Worship Center, 297 W. Main St. in Olanta, with Pastor Minnie Pearl Johnson officiating, the Rev. Jimmy McGill as eulogist, Minister Leroy Scott presiding and the Rev. Robert Mosley assisting. Burial will follow in St. Mark AME Church cemetery in Olanta.

Mrs. Stukes will lie in repose for an hour prior to services.

The family will receive friends at the home, 520 E. Hampton St. in Olanta.

These services have been entrusted to Samuels Funeral Home LLC of Manning.
