Clarendon School District 2 held its 2013-14 Spring Athletic Awards Banquet on Tuesday night at Manning Junior High School.
The banquet honored student athletes from track; junior high JV and varsity cheerleading; JV and varsity softball; golf; tennis; soccer; JV and varsity baseball; and junior high, JV and varsity basketball. Every athlete was recognized for participation, while individual awards were given in each sport for academics, sportsmanship, leadership and play. More than 550 people attended, including coaches, volunteers, school administrators, the athletes and their families.
Lorena and Kenny Powers prepared the food, and the event was funded by the Manning Athletic Club.
