According to the Clarendon County Public Index, a weapons law violation for which Toroney Christopher Tindal was charged in April after his arrest at a Summerton home during a drug raid by the Clarendon County Sheriff's Department has been dismissed, and Tindal has not been indicted for it. Tindal, born in 1988 and of 1440 Mack Road in Summerton, was charged April 16 with distribution of crack cocaine and distribution of crack cocaine within proximity of a school or church after the Clarendon County Narcotics Task Force and deputies with the Clarendon County Sheriff's Office served a search warrant at his home. Guns and $3,300 in cash were also recovered, according to reports. According to 3rd Circuit Assistant Solicitor Warren Anderson, Tindal was not eligible to be charged for felon in possession of a weapon, because while the suspect had been convicted of a felony, "it was not a qualifying felony under the statute." "It was not a violent felony, and therefore it did not qualify," Anderson said. The drug charges are still pending. Tindal remains in custody at the Clarendon County Detention Center.
