Raymond "Ray" Lagundo Creighton, 67, beloved husband of Cheryl "Cheri" Anne, died Tuesday, May 13, 2014, at Clarendon Memorial Hospital in Manning.

Born Aug. 28, 1926, in Washington, D.C., he was a son of Mary Lagundo Arpin and the late Samuel Francis Creighton.

After serving in the Army during the Vietnam War, Ray began his life-long career in the audio/video distribution industry with Transcontinental Music Corporation in 1968.  He provided sales and management leadership to several companies in the industry over the years, serving as Senior Vice President of Largo Music, President of Encore International, Senior Vice President of Ingram Entertainment, Inc., President of Replica Entertainment, and most recently as Senior Vice President of Softland International (An Allegro Media Group Company).  As a veteran, Ray took special pride in his work, providing audio/video and electronic accessories to all branches of the military worldwide.

Survivors besides his mother of Woodbridge, Va., and his wife of Manning include two daughters, Donna Elaine (Tim) Sutch of Stevensville, Md., and Courtney Leigh (Rob) Wilder of Murfreesboro, Tenn.; three sons, Gary Raymond (Yvonne) Creighton of Lascassas, Tenn., Raymond Lagundo (April) Creighton II of Watertown, Fenn. and Christopher David Roberts of Charleston; three brothers, Tyrone (Dee) Harrington of Lorton, Va., Samuel Creighton of Tampa, Fla., and Friar Ignatius (Kerry Harrington) of Columbus, Ohio; two aunts, Ramona Lagundo and Edith Messerich, both of St. Cloud, Minn.; 12 grandchildren; a great-grandchild; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.

A funeral mass to celebrate Ray's life will be held 11:30 a.m. Thursday, May 22, 2014, at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Washington, D.C., with his brother, Father Ignatius (Kerry Harrington) officiating.  A private burial will be held at Resurrection Cemetery in Clinton, Md.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service from 10:30-11:30 a.m. at the church.
