Turbeville Corrections Officer arrested after attempting to smuggle drugs into prison


A former officer of the Turbeville Correctional Institution, Quincena Murray, was found with drugs and alcohol in her vehicle and subsequently arrested. 

Murray was charged with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, furnishing or attempting to furnish a prisoner with contraband, and misconduct in office. 

Officials found approximately 798 grams of marijuana, 816 of tobacco, cigar wraps, cigarettes, and alcohol. The items were bound in diuct tape and found in her floorboard.
