Tatyana Bowman, a third-grade student at St. Paul Elementary School in Summerton, was this year's winner of the annual Clarendon County Recreation Department Christmas Card Contest. This year, participants were from K3 through third grade. Bridget Epperson said she was "very proud of the students who chose to enter their drawings. We want to thank the students, teachers and office personnel who helped with this project. We couldn't have accomplished this event without you."
For her win, Tatyana received a blue ribbon and a $25 gift card to Walmart, and her card also becomes the official card of the County Recreation Department and the Clarendon County Development Board. She also gets her original drawing framed and 10 copies of the card to send to her family and friends.
Honorable mentions will be published throughout the weekend.
