The Manning High School Monarch Connection Jazz Band traveled to Newberry College to participate in the South Carolina Band Director’s Association Jazz Performance Assessment. The SCBDA sponsored event is hosted each year at Newberry College. This year over 60 bands participated. The Manning High School Monarch Connection Jazz Bandreceived rating of SUPERIOR for the 2nd year consecutively! Kelvin Pearson, Senior drum major, first chair clarinet for the wind ensemble, and first chair alto for the jazz band being named best soloists! We are proud of the Monarchs!
