Born, Dec. 14, 1989, in Newberry, he was a son of Glenn D. Duncan and the late Julie Abney Bailey. He was formerly employed by Evans Trailers.
Survivors besides his wife of Sumter include his father and stepmother, Rae Ann Duncan, of Whitmire; his stepfather, Bubba Bailey of Sumter; a son, Joshua Bruce “J.B.” Duncan; three brothers, Justin Mathis of Sumter, Christopher Keller of Laurence and Joel W. Sweat Jr. of Greenville; a sister, Trandy Atkins of Travelers Rest; his grandparents, Joyce King of Whitmire and Thomas and Jean Mathis of Summerton; and a stepfather, Thomas Mathis III.
Funeral services were held Monday, Jan. 27, 2014, in the Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Mark Barnette officiating. Burial followed in Evergreen Memorial Park cemetery.
Joel “J.J.” Sweat, Israel Rhodes, Justin Pack, Jessie Hein, John Bochette and Jaka Allen served as pallbearers.
The family received friends at the home.
