The South Carolina High School League has announced the conference realignment for the 2024/2025 and 2025/2026 school year. The decisions are made based on school enrollment numbers in each school, and regions are re-evaluated every two years.

Region 6 now includes Carvers Bay, Green Sea Floyds, Hanna Pamplico, Hemingway, Johnsonville, Lake View and Latta. Green Sea Floyds, Hannah Pamplico, Lake View, Latta are new to the region and East Clarendon has moved to Region 7.

Region 7 now includes Atlantic Collegiate, East Clarendon, Kingstree, Lake City, Manning, Marion and Mullins. Andrews and Lee Central have left this region.

“We are definitely looking forward to the new region alignments,” says James Price, Williamsburg County School District Athletic Director. “A lot of schools we have already been playing but now they will be region games. These are the games that count for us to make, or not make, the state playoffs.”

The new region assignments will be in effect for the 2024/2025 athletic seasons.
