On Feb. 29, the Voter Registration and Election Board held a special called meeting to announce the new Executive Director, Christine Harvin. Harvin is a long-time employee of the Voter Registration office and will take over as director immediately.
Harvin’s new role will include managing, planning, and directing the activities of the Department of Voter Registration and Elections Department. As well as administer and provide secure, efficient, and effective voter and election services. Harvin will also coordinate election activities with the Board of Voter Registration and Elections, the State Election Commission, and local entities. She is also expected to schedule and direct all elections held in Clarendon County.
