Clarendon Clarendon County School District has secured a place in the top 10 across the state for the highest percentage of staff members who have completed one of the online courses offered by the South Carolina School Behavioral Health Academy (SCSBHA). Lori Parrish, Program Manager of the John H. Magill School Behavioral Health Academy, sent a congratulatory letter stating that the honor reflects the staff’s commitment and interest in enhancing school behavioral health supports.

“This is just one aspect of how we are focusing on ways to enhance teaching and learning in our district. Our staff is committed to continual learning and improvement to improve the school culture and the mental health of our students, thus focusing on the whole child,” stated Dr. Shawn Johnson, CCSD Superintendent. “We are grateful for this honor and look forward to continuing this great work alongside the SCSBHA.”
CCSD will receive a $2,000 stipend in recognition of the staff’s hard work and for having a significant role in advancing the SCSBHA's mission. The district looks to continue building cultures in the schools that focus on healthy students and changing the trajectory of academic success.
