Carolyn Johnson Heldreth died Saturday morning, May 11th. CG (as she was affectionately known) was 80 years young and was a ray of God’s light until the end.
Born in Carswell, WV, she met her husband, Todd, in Tazewell, VA, lived in Spartanburg, SC, Anderson, SC, Richlands, VA, Manning, SC (this was “home”) and in Lexington, SC.
In addition to her God given role as homemaker, she worked as a secretary in multiple hospitals and high schools and as secretary to the Clarendon School District 2 Superintendent for 26 years.
She is reunited in Heaven with her parents, John Henry and Marie Johnson of Bishop, VA; and her son, Monnie Heldreth of Beckley, WV.
She is survived by husband, David Todd Heldreth; daughter, Kelly Heldreth; son, Dr. Todd Heldreth and wife, Dawn; and son, Dr. Jud Heldreth and wife, Tracy.
Her “grandest” legacy was her 12 grandchildren, 6 grands-in-law, 11 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.
Celebration of Life Service will be held Sunday, May 19th at Lexington Baptist Church Chapel at 2:30pm. Visitation will follow the service.
