TURBEVILLE - Thomas Sanford Robinson, 86, husband of the late Carolyn Graham Robinson, died Friday, August 15, 2014, at McLeod Hospice House.

Born March 23, 1928, in Turbeville, he was the son of the late James Columbus Robinson and Claudia Passmore Robinson Coker. He was a retired farmer and a member of Horse Branch Free Will Baptist Church.

He is survived by two sons, Talbert Graham "Tab" Robinson (Wendy) of Effingham and Phillip Anthony Robinson (Kimberley) of Turbeville; three daughters, Elizabeth Robinson "Beth" Shrum (Randy) of Cape Girardeau, MO, Patsy Lynne Robinson Morris (Barry) of Turbeville and Dora Denise Robinson Holladay (Danny) of Manning; a brother, Erby Davis Coker of Turbeville; a sister, Cornelia Coker Williams (Dr. Dennis) of Marietta, GA; grandchildren, Kael Morris (Carlette), Carol Ann Johnson (Kirk), Ryan Shrum, Sam Shrum, Stephanie Miles, Daniel Holladay, Micayla Robinson, Lane Robinson, Toni Lyn Robinson, Lily Robinson, Murphy Robinson, Tori Beth Robinson, Jake Robinson and Liberty Robinson; great grandchildren, Morgan Morris, Britton Morris, Layton Morris and Easton Johnson; a niece who he considered a daughter, Barbara Ann Hobby Williams; three sisters-in-law, Grace Floyd Robinson of Charleston, Mary Ann Coker of Turbeville and Betty Jo Graham Coker of Camden; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by two daughters, Claudia Carolyn "Lyn" Robinson and Laura Frances Robinson Miles; a son, Thomas Sanford "Tommy" Robinson, Jr.; two sisters, Pearl Robinson Cosby and Virginia Robinson Hobby Teal; and two brothers, James Columbus "J.C." Robinson, Jr. and Stanley Coker.

A funeral service for Thomas Sanford Robinson will be held at 5 p.m. Monday, August 18, 2014, at Horse Branch Free Will Baptist Church with the Revs. Theron Scott and Randy Shrum officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Pallbearers and honorary pallbearers will be grandsons and great grandsons.

Visitation will be from 5 - 7 p.m. Sunday, August 17, 2014, at Horse Branch Free Will Baptist Church and other times at the home of his daughter and son-in-law, Patsy and Barry Morris, 1516 Diles Bay Road, Turbeville.
