William “Billy” Keith Rogers, 79, husband of Billie Craft Rogers, died Sunday, May 28, 2023, at his home.
Born January 30, 1944, in Sumter, he was a son of the late David Rogers and the late Bertha Galloway Rogers. He was the former owner and operator of Burger Chick Restaurant for 32 years.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years of Manning; a daughter, Cheryl Rogers Mosser (Rob) of Myrtle Beach; three grandchildren, Payton Coughennower (Aaron) of Virginia Beach, VA, Lauryn Head (fiancé, Chase Brill) and Joey Mosser, both of Myrtle Beach; a brother-in-law, Mike Mixon (Elaine) of Sumter; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, David Rogers, Everett Rogers and Charles Rogers; and five sisters, Mary Richardson, Sarah Marsh, Dorothy Barto, Esther Tomson and Barbara Bianco.
A graveside service was held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, May 31. 2023, at Clarendon Memorial Gardens.
The family received friends immediately following the graveside service and other times at the residence, 1717 Old Georgetown Road, Manning.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
