The NAESPA, formerly the National Title I Association, has recognized exceptional federally-funded schools across the United States through the National ESEA Distinguished Schools program since 1996. Walker Gamble Elementary School `is one of 65 schools awarded nationally. Out of three categories, the school was awarded for outstanding achievements in Category 1: Exceptional Student Performance and Academic Growth.
