On April 28th , 2024, Clarendon County Deputies responded to a report of
a male subject unresponsive and not breathing at 1098 Mickey Street in
the Turbeville area. Deputies located a deceased subject, identified as
Mr. Earl Singletary, inside of an abandoned mobile home. An autopsy
was completed at MUSC in Charleston, and it was determined that Mr.
Singletary had died from blunt force trauma to the head. During the
investigation it was found that Mr. Singletary was involved in an
altercation on or about April 26 th , 2024. As the investigation progressed,
three suspects were identified: 2 juvenile subjects, and Qawiee Shabios
Antanio Singletary age 24. On June 28 th , 2024, two of the suspects were
taken into custody without incident. One juvenile suspect was charged
with Murder. Qawiee Singletary was charged with Obstruction of
justice and Assault 3 rd Degree. Through a Family Court Petition, charges
are pending on the other juvenile suspect. This is an ongoing case,
