Player signs with Methodist University

East Clarendon linebacker and tight end Daulton Player signed to play football March 11 with Methodist University, saying "it's a beautiful campus, a great environment and the atmosphere is just amazing."

He considered Coastal Carolina University and a few other schools and was planning on Coastal, but said Methodist won him over on his first visit. Player was joined by his parents, Vickie Ard and David Player, former coach Dwayne Howell, present coach Scott Cook and Principal Jason Cook.
