In April, the staff of The Manning Times published a magazine entitled Clarendon Companions. The magazine featured adoptable pets from A Second Chance Animal Shelter and local pets from throughout Clarendon.
A portion of the magazine sales was donated to The Clarendon County Sheriff Department K9 Unit.
The check was presented by Office Manager Alex Feagin and Publisher Leigh Ann Maynard of The Manning Times. The check was presented to Sherriff Baxley and the K9 Unit on Friday, June 16.
