MHS teacher named FSI Teacher of the Week

Manning High School English teacher Leila McCoy was selected last week to be the FSI Office Supplies Teacher of the Week. "Mrs. McCoy thought that she was being pranked (Sept. 17) when the FSI representative arrived with a gift box of school supplies," said Principal Neshunda Walters. An unidentified person nominated McCoy for the award, saying, "She is a teacher that cares." "She sends two to three texts and emails every week to make sure the parent is aware of everything," the anonymous person wrote in the nomination. See Thursday's Manning Times for more.
