Manning man charged with being a habitual traffic offender

A 38-year-old Manning man was arrested about 12:10 p.m. May 19 and charged with driving under suspension, third or subsequent offense, and being a habitual traffic offender. According to a report from Manning Police Department Cpl. W.B. Secrist II, he stopped Cleoza Gibbs Jr., 38, of 1384 Tuttle Drive in Manning, after noticing the suspect was driving without wearing a seatbelt. A check through dispatch showed Gibbs’ license was suspended and that he is labeled as a habitual offender by the S.C. Department of Public Safety. Gibbs.
