Wallace Eugene Curtis Gadson, 31, of 232 N. Church St. No. B in Manning, was arrested about 12:27 p.m. April 4 and charged with shoplifting, third or subsequent offense, at a store in the 100 block of North Brooks Street in Manning.
According to reports, an employee with the store told police that Gadson walked out of the store with something shoved inside the front of his sweat pants. The employee reported that Gadson was wearing a red jacked and dark-colored sweat paints.
Police found Gadson close by, and he allegedly pulled out a pack of white T-shirts valued at $8, along with a can of Scrubbing Bubbles cleaner valued at $3.49; a box of macaroni and cheese valued at $1; a box of Velveeta valued at $3.19; two suckers valued at $1 each; and two packs of Reese’s candy valued at $1.50 each.
Police found Gadson had been convicted for two prior shoplifting arrests.
