Laurence Manning Academy announced Thursday that Middle School Principal and Head Football Coach Jimmy Noonan has stepped down from both roles.

The announcement, shared with parents, said Noonan resigned effective Monday. School officials did not specify a reason for the departure.

In the message, LMA expressed gratitude for Noonan’s service, calling him “an incredible blessing to this campus” and praising his “deep integrity, unwavering character, and genuine faith.” The school noted that his influence extended beyond athletics, shaping the middle school community and mentoring students throughout the year.

“His leadership, mentorship, and quiet strength have shaped not only our football program this year, but also the lives of countless Swampcats,” the statement read.

LMA encouraged families to join in wishing Noonan well as he begins “his next chapter,” adding that the school remains committed to supporting one another “as a strong and united school family.”

The school has not yet announced interim leadership or plans for filling the positions.
