New Zion native Drue Floyd is Miss Clarendon 2016.
Manninglive.com will be posting these little blurbs throughout the next few weeks so readers can get to know her as she prepares for Miss South Carolina in June.
Floyd chose to sing “Four Days Late” by Kate Peck during the Miss Clarendon Scholarship Pageant “because (she) has always enjoyed singing,” she said.
“I began singing at a young age in my church,” she said. “I chose the song because I felt it showed the range of my voice well. I also chose this song because of the beautiful message it brings.”
Floyd will be changing her talent song for the Miss South Carolina Pageant, she said.
“I want to choose a song that is new to me and a song that will fit with my platform (Project Unify) as well,” she said.
