Lynden Anthony, Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for Clarendon County, has been hired as County Administrator. Anthony has been serving as interim administrator since January, after David Epperson resigned from the position.
A regularly scheduled Clarendon County Council meeting was held Monday, during which council adjourned to executive session and returned to vote on the motion to hire Anthony. This motion was passed in a 3 to 1 vote. Council members Billy Richardson, William Frierson, and A.C. English voted yes, while John Coker was the lone nay vote.
Council hired the firm, Finding Good People, to aid their search for a new administrator in February. The interview process of potential candidates for the position has been on-going. Anthony will remain county CFO until the position is filled.
